The Daiwa Grandwave rod series hits a new peak in design and performance in 2018. The Grandwave now features X45 BIAS Wrap technology through the entire blank with its cross directional wrapping method eliminating rod twist and distortion when under load. The result is an ultra strong, lightweight blank with maximum function and power. Power and control is further enhanced with a new Winn Grip foregrip, providing optimum connection and control between angler and rod, while a new bent butt section makes the Grandwave more user friendly in and out of the rod holder and gimbal. The 511HFD is the most versatile model in the range with the ability of fishing 60-150lb line. Ideal for big and small boats and is best suited to depths of 150-600m. Matching perfectly with the 500/1000 Tanacom, Seaborg 800MJ Megatwin or Seaborg Megatwin 750 reel. This is the one rod to cover both the heavy and light deep dropping situations. The 66XHFD is the ultimate heavy-duty deep water rod capable of fishing up to 200lb braided line and is best matched with the Tanacom/Tanacom Bull/Seaborg 1000 or the Marine Power 3000 reels. Its long detachable bent butt is designed specifically to being fished directly out of the rod holder and is ideal for fishing the deepest darkest water.
